Any memory of your child is a wonderful recollection to you and your family. How were they ever that small! At Pick and Paint Pottery we offer a professional bespoke hand and footprints service for your babies and toddlers. We obviously do adults too, and have even taken dog pawprints! The Pick and Paint Pottery professional service offers both clay imprints and the more popular plaster outprints.
An imprint is taken with the clay method which is then dried out and fired. At this stage the imprint is handpainted and decorated before being glazed and fired for a second time. The photo above shows clay imprints.
The opposite "outprint" version is an alternative method where the print is set in plaster. Again this is dried out before being decorated. Both methods look great framed, which we can arrange for you or you may prefer to make framing arrangements for yourself.
The plaster outprints method is suitable for any age - even for newborns and we know how precious they are! However, we prefer not to do the clay imprints method for toddlers under the age of 2 years old. This method is also used for dogs pawprints!
A less costly alternative is a simple paint impression which can be fired directly onto a ceramic item of your choice. Again, like the plaster method, there is no minimum age.

The paints are all water-washable, lead-free and non-toxic.
How much does it cost?
Prices range from £12 to £25 for the paint impressions, depending upon the item you choose. The clay imprints and plaster outprints methods are £40 each.
